National Youth Day |

In India, January 12 is celebrated as a ‘National Youth Day’, as on this day in
the year 1863, was born the great philosopher and thinker “Sri
Swami Vivekananda”. He stands as a role model for numerous generations.
By his teachings, knowledge and literature he inspired the youth to lead a truthful
and purified life and to work towards the development of the nation. He himself
believed that the youth of our country have the real power to shape the future of
our country. So, his birthday is dedicated for all the youth of our country. On
this day, different programmes like processions, speeches, recitations, competitions
are held at schools and colleges all over the country.
